PROPOSED SPECIFICATION OF BENTLEY II.A. (6.B.1V.)

From Customers' point of View.

(1) Raised front engine mounting.
(2) 6.50 X 17 tyres for better ride and handling.
(3) Wraith steering - lighter both manoeuvring and cornering.
(4) Aluminium brake drums.
(5) Thermoid clutch facings as on P.III.
(6) Widney bonnet - better appearance.
(7) T.T. cylinder head to give better performance.
(8) Lighter body as on Lp{Mr Lappin}'s car.
(9) Clutch pedal servo.

This car will have a smoother engine, better performance, better ride, lighter steering and better brakes.

From our point of view.

(1) Fixed shutters - cheaper.
(2) Cheaper springs.
(3) Armstrong dampers - cheaper.
(4) Hardy spicer propeller shaft - cheaper.
(5) Studebaker type prop. shaft damper - cheaper.
(6) Larger axle shafts to prevent failures.
(7) Better axle pinion mounting to decrease complaints of noise.
(8) Girling rear brakes. These are cheaper and will provide information about B.III.
(9) Improved exhaust suspension.
(10) Small improvements in brake system, cooling system, bumper bar, and electrical installation.
