CYLINDER BORE WEAR.

In connection with the various experiments which are in hand in connection with the above, we wish to tabulate the cost per chassis of the possible alternatives.

At the same time we wish to know just what costs have to be met by the Company in servicing, for say, rebores and oversize pistons and rings, during the life of a chassis up to 75,000 miles and 50,000 miles.

Bearing in mind the increased reliability of bearings, a bottom decoke is a far less frequent feature, and if the rebore period could be put up to 75,000 miles, top overhaul would be thus simplified.

Will you please supply the necessary information regarding present day costs on our chassis in connection with the above.
