Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 22. G. {Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} V. {VIENNA} Oil leaks from Air Silencer Connection to Valve Rocker Cover. It was found that the flange on the air silencer was loose on its rivets. This was tightened and the spherical ends of the connecting pipe lapped in. The fit of the sliding joint was also improved. The oil leaks at this point are now considerably reduced, but it is not yet a completely dry joint. We are now getting a grey mess, composed of oil & alum dust from where the induction pipe enters the air silencer. Re. Steering. We have assembled this to the best of our ability, but we think that the fork which carries the cam-roller is strained, as the faces are not parellel. We are however, satisfied with the results on the road up to now. ---------------- GWH {George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} /IMW. {Ivan M.
