Handwritten notes: STD (circled) noted Ruv/STD SUBJECT Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of 13th inst., and note that you require a Car Heater for one of your Phantom III Rolls-Royce Cars. We believe that the Heater which you mention was obtained by your Mr. Honeyman relates to a transaction in March 1936, and we would advise you that although he has referred to it in correspondence to us as a "Delco" Heater, this is probably because of the fact that these Heaters are fitted with Delco Motors, but the complete unit is described as a Harrison "Twinflow" Car Heater. The type supplied at that time was the 1936 model and the chief differences between this and the current type are in the external appearance, the earlier type being finished in chromium plate, whilst the 1937 units have a green crinkle finish and the opening of the doors is arranged differently. The latest type is covered by Part No.3107357T and weighs approximately 3-lbs. 5-ozs. without fittings, the retail price is £ 4. 0. 0d. subject to a discount of 25% & 20% to your goodselves, and the output is approximately 11,000-BTU. In order that you may have this unit on hand to make any investigations which you feel necessary, we have decided to forward one to you on sale or return, for a period of 14 days, and this is being despatched under cover of our advice note No.DO.39928.
