Smith} This is one of our sandwich batteries having the following cells :- No.1. P & R, otherwise standard cell with threaded rubber separators with ribbed sides towards the positive plates. No.2. Otherwise standard Exide cell but with threaded rubber separators. (Ribbed sides towards positives) No.3. Standard P & R.{Sir Henry Royce} cell of the old type. No.4. " Exide " " " No.5. Otherwise standard Exide cell with threaded rubber separators (Ribbed sides towards positives) No.6. Otherwise standard P & R cell with threaded rubber separators with the flat sides of the separators towards the positive plates. Ignition Equipment. Finer primary winding coil (now standard). Double value ballast resistance designated C. Large diameter tungsten contact points. Switchbox with magneto ignition at every position of the switch. Sandwiched Maconite and Glover H.T. cables. Lucas type ERS. magneto No.54A. Dynamo of the narrower brush type, designated L. A dynamo similar to this did a very satisfactory 10,000 mile test on 12-EX in France, the only complaint being a slight noisiness of the brushes. EFC. | ||
