Many thanks for your reports.

I am sorry the car is being so awkward.

Water Excluders.

We are interested in your observations on these. What we want to know is, whether the water excluders would have given trouble if it had not been for this front axle jagger. It is rather difficult to see how the jagger could have been responsible for the water excluder seizing on; on the other hand, we have not had a case on our own cars. Therefore anything you can tell us about it will be of considerable value to us.

Engine periods.

Doubtless by now you have tried re-setting the crankshaft damper, as if you have periods at 2600 and 3600 revs. which are crankshaft and not flywheel, clearly the slipper wheel loading is too light. On the other hand, we are beginning to feel that if we want more than 20 lbs. load then we have not enough inertia on the slipper wheel, and are putting through a heavier one.
