GOSHAWK CLUTCH PEDAL PRESSURE. X4267

We have carried out tests measuring the pressure required to fully depress the clutch pedal when using 120 lbs. springs in the clutch. We found on the Limousine car, to fully depress the clutch, it took 65 lbs. pressure. We then changed the lever fixed to the end of the clutch operating shaft for one .5" longer. We found with this that the pressure required to fully depress the clutch was 39 lbs. With this new lever we should not anticipate any serious complaints from the pressure required to operate the clutch; it has made a very marked improvement. We find that it is still possible to get the clutch free. The clutch comes to rest when there is still ¼" more pedal movement to go.
We recommend that the lever C.51037 should be used as soon as possible.
