CARS IN EXPERIMENTAL DEPT. x9770

The following experimental cars have been handed over to the Sales for sale :-

35-PK. This is the car which had the accident in France. It was sent into the Repair Dept. The intention was that they should repair and overhaul the car and the car should be handed to you for sale. We understand that the R.D. are still awaiting instructions. This car however, is definitely up to Sales to get hold of and get rid of.
The car was fitted with a Barker open touring body which was finished temporarily - only the upholstery on the front seats being carried out. The wings are scrap - the body is badly damaged. We therefore recommend that you leave the body at the Works - we can make use of it.

9-PK. This car returned from France last week. We have sent this to the Repair Dept. today. It needs overhauling - it could then be sold. It is fitted with a Hooper limousine body. This body was never painted or upholstered except the front seats.
It has run over 30,000 miles in France. The body was badly knocked about in an accident and was patched up. We think the body could be looked upon as scrap. The wings are also scrap.
As far as the Expl: Dept: is concerned, 9-PK car has now been handed over to Sales and it is up to them to urge the car from the Repair Dept.

6-EX. This is a car which was used a lot by Mr. Royce. It has recently been fitted with 4-wheel brakes. The car has been overhauled. It has, however, one or two experimental features.
The electrical system is not standard.
The car is at present in the Repair Dept. We recommend that you give instructions to them for the car to be made standard so that it can be sold.
It is fitted with a Park Ward open body. It has recently been re-painted and done up. It could be sold as an open touring car in practically new condition.
