To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from EFC. c. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} c. Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} ORIGINAL EFC7/AD31.10.29. X 4041. IGNITION CONTACT BREAKER ADJUSTMENT The majority of other makes of battery ignition contact breakers now employ an eccentric adjustment of the contact points which needs a screwdriver only to effect adjustment. Both contact points are riveted securely to their respective pieces. To effect adjustment one screw is released and subsequently retightened. Another screw is turned, and by means of an eccentric action, moves the base carrying the fixed contact point. The arrangement appears to allow of greater accuracy and simplicity of adjustment.
