CHASSIS. ------- Please receive herewith blueprints of G.CD.987 showing the increased rear track and modified suspension bracket. The rear axle tubes and shafts are longer to suit the increased track. We have shown a larger number of bolts in the suspension bracket flange, and this modifies the brake carrier plate and stiffener, the latter also being made of thinner sheet metal. The oil guard has been modified to enable the double springs shown on FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}262 to be incorporated. The position of the flange on the suspension bracket relative to the centre line of the spring has been increased to suit the increased track and thinner stiffener plate. [Handwritten] GRY{Shadwell Grylls} Is this the spring seat which we ought to order in all Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
