EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 7820. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}9/MJ.4.6.30. With reference to EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/Thn3/H20.5.30. The tyre pressures we indicated in the Instruction Book were as follows :- Phantom ll High Speed work. 40 lbs. Front. 35 lbs. Rear. Low Speed and Town work. 40 lbs. Front. 30 lbs. Rear. We do not think that we should recommend tyre pressures above 40 lbs/sq.in. for any reason, more especially because after the tyre pressures are checked in the garage they will certainly rise 4 or 5 lbs/sq.in. when the car is run on the road in summer weather.
