COPY. X.3350a BY1/P22.5.20. Na.{Mr Nadin} from BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to Btn. c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} C to EFC X.3350a CHASSIS - STARTER GEAR ON GEARBOX. We have found that the following parts on the Starter Gear are not very satisfactory and are therefore replacing same. The trouble is that the frictional grip, as originally designed, was insufficient. This has been overcome by modifying the parts referred to. We are obtaining sepias from the tracings of the new parts as quickly as possible and will send them on during next week. The parts referred to which have been modified are:- G.3504 - Fibre Washer for slipping clutch. G.3505 - " " " G.3509 - Peg. G.4402 - Spring. G.3501 - Plate for carrying pegs. G.6492 - Chain wheel. G.6493 - Front Plate for Slipping Clutch. EFC MAY 27 1920 RECEIVED. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
