35-EX. 11.6.37. As a result of the run in France:- Standardisation sheets have been issued for:- (1) Stiffer axle shafts. (2) Larger differential thrust washers. (3) Wraith wheel movement. (4) Propeller shaft with sliding joint at rear (5) Screw threaded gearbox synchromesh cones. (6) Improved appearance radiator diagonal stays. (7) Cheaper & Lighter rear springs. (8) Flexible engine coupling to reduce vibration and S/M coupling piece. (9) 4 port heads. (10) Pilot bearing with brass cage to reduce cost. (11) Cheaper oil level indicator. (12) R.R.56 main bearing shims. Parts that cannot be standardised owing to trouble. (1) Mild steel engine feet. (2) Starter Motor brake. Information has been obtained on:- (1) Various materials of cylinder liners. (2) Hoyts Z3 white metal bearings. | ||
