OUR REF W/W/4 TELEPHONE EX. NO. 313 14th August, 1936. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 13th inst. instructing us to put in hand three pieces of mesh each 28" x 22 5/8" extreme overall sizes. From the second paragraph of your letter we note that the most suitable mesh for your purpose would be the 1/2" diagonal one, but we beg to advise you that the samples which we forwarded were 1/4" square mesh and 3/8" corrugated diamond mesh, and two samples of Metalace. We therefore presume that you have selected the 3/8" corrugated diamond mesh, but we shall be pleased if you will confirm this point, or do you require the meshing constructed similar to this sample but of 1/2" diamond mesh ? When replying, we should also be pleased if you would advise us whether you require these three pieces of mesh, dull eggshell black finish, as the samples. Yours faithfully, G.A. HARVEY & CO.
