Dear Mr. Worth,

Thank you for your letter of the 8th July.

With regard to E.R. Hall's car, I note what you say but the conditions under which the tyres will have to run are substantially the ones I gave you during your visit here, and it is imperative that you should be able to guarantee that the tyres you put on the rear wheels of the car will go through the race when subjected to these conditions. We have taken up the attitude that we have got to have a margin on petrol and oil supplies, and we hope that you will do the same.

We await with interest the 6 x 17" tyres modified to increase their silence.

I shall be away on holiday for ten days from July 17th onwards.
