MACONITE CABLE.

[Handwritten and struck through: XJ860 x8560]

From tests we have carried out we are satisfied that Maconite cable is an improvement over the present standard Glover.

We have not been free from troubles with Glover cable. We attach herewith a sample which shews one of the faults which has been taken up with these people.

On the new head we cannot avoid having the high tension wires closer to the exhaust heat and we find that Maconite will stand more heat without perishing.

Glovers say they can give us a better cable by using Gloverite which they claim is similar to the Maconite. Comparative prices are as follows :-

Present Glover......... £12. 10. 0 per 1000 yds.
Maconite..............£12. 19. 0 " " "
Gloverite.............£19. 0. 0 " " "
