X1160 Sr. from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c, Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies} re Chassis B-8-GA - Noise Insulation Scheme. Thank you for your Sr/EWP.{Mr Punt}15/MLG.23.3.36, it is important for the carpet work behind the dash to be done over here on account of the special features required for clearing the dashboard fittings. This carpet moreover has a number of clips on it and holds up the insulation. Once you have a sample carpet and dashboard insulator you could use these for reproduction. I, therefore, propose that we should make you up a sample in any colour, which you can use merely as a model, or if you like to send a specimen of the actual carpet material we could get this made up for your trials car. I note that you would like a supply of material for the second trials car B-60-GA. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
