+200a (3) To G.W. Hancock Esq., Hotel de France, Chateauroux, Indre, France. We have sent you some springs for increasing the load of the spring drive. They were used on the spring clutch centres, and by suitable washers I once obtained 40 lbs. damping on the crank dampers on 3-B-IV. I seem to remember that without washers they gave about 20-25 lbs. Have you had any servo squeaks ? The VM.30 linings are fixed to the driving plates which should be an improvement as regards squeaks over 21-G-IV. When you say that the 4º axle is free from brake thump, is that without any alteration to the servo or swinging arm ? If so, comparative figures for the effort to apply the brakes at the axle levers, pull off springs + friction, would be very interesting. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
