25/30 - MODIFIED LUBRICATION TO REAR BRAKE ACTUATING SHAFTS.
--------------------------------------------------------

Referring to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}2/R.10.12.36. we are just completing the lastof the details for applying a similar scheme to the 25/30 as that which is reported on for the Bentley in the above memo.

We are satisfied that this will give equally good results.

The delay has been due to the fact that I did not care for the first design, our object being to use as many of the parts as possible which are on the existing cars. We have achieved this object in the design which is being issued in the course of the next few days.

The Bentley scheme is not, of course, on production, but we take it that a standardisation sheet will be issued.

The new parts required for putting cars in service are not costly, being limited to the castings for the bearing at the inner endadjacent to the centre line of the car, the shafts and bearings at the wheel end being useable.
