We wish you to supply with the body two sets of loose covers for the seats, and the interior of the body up to the waist line. Will you please send us a sample of the grey material which you propose. (2) On this car it may be desired to carry the steering column at the top end from the scuttle framing, the attachment being to the cross rail immediately behind the instrument board looking from the driving seat, would you please weld to this rail a piece of steel plate .104 thick as per the attached sketch, which we can drill for the column bracket. At the same time we would like a tracing of the full size drawing of the scuttle at this place showing the structure in section, end view and plan. We need this to set out a scheme for use finally. (3) We enclose herewith a print of PD.71 shewing the contour of the front wing at the bonnet valance strip. This will enable you to go ahead with the front wings. We have indicated a very wide flange so that this can be trimmed off when mounting. Continued... | ||
