We confined this test as nearly as possible to the actual conditions which would exist if the pump was mounted on the crankcase and driven off the CAMshaft, therefrom pumping petrol to the autovac tank in its present position. It will be observed that the delivery of the pump is adequate for the Phantom requirements. Under full throttle conditions it is immeasureably better than that of the Autovac. This pump is reasonably silent but we think it could be further improved. | ||
