EXPERIMENTAL REPORT.

exhaust boom noticeable around 35 to 30 m.p.h.; a cure however is not claimed for this noise;

Scheme 564 is recommended for standardisation on future production as being a better proposition, the Silencer being solidly compressed to the Cross Member, whereas, it is only suspended solidly from the Cross Member on Scheme 563. The latter however can be used successfully if it is desired to fit up an existing car with the improvement without going to the extent of drilling the Cross Member.

Scheme 564 was as fitted to 7-C-11 - has run 7,840 miles.
" 563 " " " 6-C-11 - " " 3,600 miles.

Neither have given any trouble.
