Dear Sirs,

I find that I have only got just 7,000 miles out of the special Dunlop tyres on my Phantom III on the back driving wheels. I thought I would let you know as to this, as the regular record on my former 40/50 H.P. Rolls was fully 14,000 miles on the driving wheels. Would you let me know what experience you have had, or other customers have had, in regard to these tyres.

I have just got a second pair for the driving wheels from the Dunlop people, as the tread was entirely gone and one of the tyres gave out. The walls seemed to be nothing like strong enough, and I should have thought, looking to the pace and weight of the car, a stronger tyre was needed.

I have always seen that the proper inflation was kept in the tyres, such as you advise. The inflation seems to be about right for comfort in running, but the tyres get very hot indeed.

I thought I had better let you know about these various points, and I should like to have your ideas and recommendations.

Yours truly,

(Sgd.) H.G. Spicer.
