STARTER MOTOR. X.9620.

I am very anxious not to be in the way of getting something done, but naturally it must be good, but it must not be hung up by over-fear or faddiness.

I had the impression that you had finished the work on the above, and that it only required a few hours to despatch.

Now I hear the design of the operating parts have not reached Derby.

I believe the work is not waiting for me, and if it is you should have sent it to me with someone to carry on the drawing if it were necessary. This is what I meant when I said if there is anything, including electrical work, that you at WW. cannot do well and quickly without my help, and which my help would benefit, let someone bring it out here. But you sent me a suggestione of sending me someone generally to help with the more general work that I am doing - i.e. memos and criticisms - which was hardly worth while.

I now hope to be home in a month.

R.{Sir Henry Royce}
