MR. MARTIN HURST'S BENTLEY.

Mr. Martin Hurst, who is, of course, well known to us at the Works, is rather worried because it has been said that he had over-revved his Bentley the other day when he put a connecting rod through his bottom half.

It is quite easy to say for certain whether a car has been over-revved or not by inspecting the taper on which the slipper wheel is mounted on the crankshaft. If the car has been over-revved it will be almost impossible to remove the slipper wheel from this taper, and it will be partially siezed.

If this evidence is not present then the car has not been over-revved.

We would like this information to be obtained so that there is no doubt as to what has happened. Will you please arrange and let us know.
