REPLY TO:- 1A, NEW LONDON STREET, LONDON, E.C.3. TELEPHONE ROYAL 3294. 2nd March, 1927. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., D E R B Y. Dear Sirs, Your Reference ROY{Sir Henry Royce}4/MG24, W.27. We duly received your letter of the 24th ult., for which we now thank you and regret that we have not been able to reply to your query as regards an Auto-Klean strainer directly adaptable to a Morris 1925 chassis for dealing with oil. We have now had an opportunity of examining the lubricating system of a 1925 Morris and it would appear that there is no room in the oil system for a strainer. Our Mr Stuart is visiting your Works tomorrow, Thursday, by appointment with Mr Robotham (Expl. Dept.) and the writer has asked him to call on Mr H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Royce first to pick up a parcel (containing two special strainers) which we have taken the liberty of addressing to our Mr Stuart (who is at Wolverhampton today) C/O Mr H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Royce. Perhaps it might be possible for you to arrange for Mr Stuart to see Mr Rowledge with regard to the oil strainer for aeroplane purposes after he has finished his interview with Mr Hives and Mr Robotham. Yours faithfully, For and on behalf of AUTO-KLEAN STRAINERS LTD. [Signature] C. Barker Director [STAMPS] Roy{Sir Henry Royce} 3 MAR 1927 RECEIVED [HANDWRITTEN] +4037 | ||
