NORTH & SONS Ltd Continuation Sheet No. 1. 14th August, 1933. Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd., possibility of an incorrect reading arising through an intermittently operated counter. We trust that the instrument when fitted to the car will be found to be entirely satisfactory, but if there is still any discrepancy we should be obliged if you will advise us as to the means you are adopting for testing, as naturally, if our tests are to agree with yours we must carry them out in the same way. We would, however, point out that in the method explained in this letter we are not depending on the accuracy of any form of revolution indicator but merely on that of the chronograph, the error of which amounts to only a few seconds a day and during such a period that is occupied in checking the particular speed of an instrument is negligible. We should be pleased to hear from you when you have had an opportunity of testing the instrument on the chassis and can assure you that everything possible will be done to ensure your satisfaction in the matter. Yours faithfully, NORTH & SONS LIMITED., H Tansley Witt Receiver & Manager. Per C.W.Hooley | ||
