You will notice that a plain bush has been used in the rocker of fairly stiff proportions and fixed by a bronze taper pin which is reamed off flush in the bore. The lubrication holes in the rocker are carried straight through the bush and a single oil feed hole is used in the shaft in an intermediate position between the lubrication holes in the rocker. The rubbing end of the rocker should of course be hardened as well as the tappet rod end. The tension side of the rocker has been made stronger than the compression side on the boss by carrying round a rib from one side to the other.
