STARTER MOTOR ON 9-EX.
--------------------

When discussing the peculiarities of the starter motor on the above car yesterday with Mr. Hancock, when we also explained that this particular starter motor really has very little in common with that which we propose to fit to the six S.S.

I overlooked the fact that a month ago, as a result of a discussion with EFC. we issued a sheet of instructions covering a new armature. This armature had a new taper and was designed to overcome the thump both in and out, which is peculiar to 9-EX. as the result of the combination of the present tapered armature with the use of helical gears.

I am mentioning this point because it would enable definite information to be arrived at quickly, and accurately, if the special parts were pushed forward and handed over to be fitted to the above car.
