E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. c. to By/RD. c. to E/Tsn. 86134. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.9/MA.14.12.35. STARTING TORQUES. Replying to your E.2/HP.13.12.35., we have no available data referring to the cold starting torque of the Phantom II as we never did a cold chamber start with this chassis. The cold starting torque at 30 R.P.M. 0ºC. as measured on P.III chassis 35-EX. was 1780 lb inches. As requested we attach herewith brake test curves of the standard P.II and P.III chassis motors which are of course identical electrically. We also wish to draw your attention to the fact that adopting our scheme of solenoid operation extra power can be obtained from the motor with reduced bulk. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. | ||
