CONTROL FOR EXHAUST CUTOUT. X8490

We consider it is asking too much to expect the designers to alter the design of the cutout mechanism in order to avoid the damage done by careless persons at the coachbuilders.

If at any time a new design for the cutout mechanism was contemplated for any other reason, we could then put it forward as a point to be considered.

We would suggest that this rod is taken off the chassis whilst it is at the coachbuilders, and kept amongst the spares on the car and that it should not be fitted until the final test; the final test being when the car is leaving the coachbuilders completed.
