Draper - Frames} RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFH.1)/WH.5.12.38. B.V. FRONT ROLL ROD. The front anti-roll rod of this car (the only roll rod required) should be 11/16" dia. (.687" dia.) The material of the rod which ran in France on S.S.V. was .4% carbon, .65% manganese or BESA.S76. The brinell figure of the working parts of the rod was 317. (The bumped up ends were softer). This is the material we recommend for production. The links at the ends of the rod (plain bar) are rather too long and Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/JD{J. Draper - Frames} may call for them to be shortened. RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFH. | ||
