were to supply a specimen bonding ring to Dunlops with countersunk holes, in order that the latter Co. might produce a rim with pressed depressions which would be equally accurate.

This Warland rim was, however, so faulty that Mr. Duke of Warlands withdrew it and refused to accept an offer by Dunlops to reduce rims for them in good material.

This leaves us in the position that we cannot make any promises for deliveries of cars with Warland rims and W. will have no option but to despatch chassis to Sales with standard wheels, as there will be no storage room here for them.

The Conference are of the opinion that Sales should inform customers of the situation and try and persuade them to accept standard wheels in tead of Warland.

(b) GOODYEAR RIMS.- for chassis built at Derby and intended for America.

The Conference were of the opinion that Sales ought to know the present position with regard to these rims, which is as follows:-

These rims left the Goodyear Works in May last but since then have not been heard of. Dunlops have got three of their men chasing round in the States trying to get track of them, but so far with no success. Chassis now ready for delivery to U.S.A. must now be despatched with standard wheels.

The position will be relieved towards the end of September as Dunlops will then be manufacturing these rims themselves in England.
