To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. Nor. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hdy.{William Hardy} NHC. SpectreCodename for Phantom III - Front Suspension. ------------------------- Herewith is a set of tables giving particulars of springs for the front suspension. Table (1) gives spring data for drawing out. The springs marked AO and CO you have already received. Those marked BO and DO are new, and require instructing. Table II shews the 16 possible combinations of the outer and inner springs to give a wide range of loads, which in conjunction with the manufacturing variations in the springs should enable the exact weight of spring to be selected. Table III shews the spring combinations arranged (1) in order of load given (2) in order of rate per inch. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
