In view of the further developments that have taken place, it is not necessary to dismantle any more radiators that have been built.

We are now satisfied that the cylinder head on "J-2" series chassis is not so liable to cause corrosion in the radiators as the cylinder heads on "F-2-B" series chassis, as in the case of the latter we used ordinary aluminium, whereas for "J-2" series, the cylinder head is produced from T.50 alloy which Hl. has confirmed to be less susceptible to corrosion.

In regard to the water to be used for the cooling system, arrangements are being made for supplies to be obtained from the condensed steam tanks, and we shall be pleased if EJJ. will see that this work is pushed forward as much as possible.

It is essential that 1½ oz. of sodium phosphate is added to the water for each chassis. This should be added whilst the engine is running to ensure a thorough circulation.

If it is necessary to use tap water until the condensed steam is available, arrangements should be made for a large tank to be used solely for this purpose.

Half ounce of sodium phosphate per six gallons of water should be used and time should be allowed for the resulting sediment to settle before filling the engine.

It will be necessary to add the specified 1½ oz. of sodium phosphate for each chassis as in the case of condensed steam.

Every effort should be made to send the chassis away filled with condensed steam.
