F.O.Hickling, Esq.,
Messrs. Ransome & Marles Bearing Co. Ltd.,
NEWARK-ON-TRENT,
Notts.

Dear Mr.Hickling,

We are returning to you under separate cover 5 pinion bearings which have failed on customers' cars, - two with chipped balls and three with broken thrust cages. Two of the bearings with broken cages appear to be very free from sludge.

We should be glad to receive your comments on these bearings.

We require a further one of the latest bearings 6.MD.ST.30 with 0.005 preload, but prefer to await the results of your tests on elongated holes in the cages. If your tests on these are satisfactory will you please send us a bearing with this feature. We will send you an official order upon hearing from you.

Yours sincerely,
