P.III. GEARBOX.

With reference to the hardened steel bushes now being run on the overdrive box on dynamometer test, E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} suggests that some running should be done on other gears than the overdrive at various speeds, as there may be a greater tendency to seize when running light at high speed than when loaded on the overdrive.
