We received your telegram as follows:- "Please send dashboard unit of gauge to scheme 2571 to Barkers for Phantom eighteen ET." to which we replied as under:- "Attention Mr.Robotham Experimental Department telegram received will send dashboard instrument for Phantom 18ET scheme 2571 to Barkers for installation unable obtain road transport for tank and air line therefore packing and sending passenger train tonight addressed Rolls Royce Nightingale Lane Derby attention yourself Experimental Department." We have spoken to Mr.Penny of Barkers, and we are sending them to-night a dummy instrument to cut their facia board to suit. They have promised to let us know | ||
