Perhaps Mr. Royce would let us know the size of pulley he would require on this dynamo, or the size and speed of the driving pulley on the engine, which will drive this, so that we can arrange for the correct conditions.

X2048 As regards the testing set asked for by Mr. Royce in his memo R3/W17.1.18 we have made enquiries of Messrs. Weston and they offer us their model 45 instrument which can X1482 be supplied with two ranges of amperes or volts, self contained, at a price of 5½ guineas, and state that this instrument is designed to meet the demand for a low-priced portable instrument.

We think, therefore, that it should quite suit Mr. Royce's requirements. If we obtain the null volt meter model reading to 1.5 and to 15 volts, we can make suitable shunts to make the instrument read to 1.5 and to 15 amperes.
