EXHAUST SYSTEM. Further to our telegram of date, the flange between the downtake pipe and aluminised front expansion box has broken all the way round. The exhaust system has not been disturbed in anyway since the car has been in France, and the mountings and triangular stay were all in good condition. We have returned the broken pipe for your examination, and hope to obtain a standard pipe from Paris on which we can continue running. The failure occurred after 4,700 miles. ---------- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} | ||
