SECRET. 650 To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Copy to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} HFS. F J H Wraith Side and Cross Steering Tubes. We would be glad if you could let us know the state of development of the adjustable side and cross steering tubes on Wraith and also on Phantom III, the design of which was finalised on the 16th. of December last. The Works are very anxious that Wraith should start life with these fittings and that they should be adopted on the Phantom III as soon as possible. You will recall a lot of designs were investigated in conjunction with the Works and the Cost Dept. and as far as we are aware, when the design was finalised, there was nothing to stop the scheme going ahead for test. If any difficulties have arisen we would be glad to know of them. | ||
