DEPARTMENTAL MEMO. This column is for Name of Person addressed. DATE. Mr. Cowen. 22.3.12. CJ4/C22312. What road-clearing horn are we fitting to our Trials Cars? The Claxton is certainly effective, but it is unpleasant. Have we tried the ordinary reed Horn by which a continuous note can be produced by means of a little fan or air-pump? I want this matter to be gone into seriously, because it must be remembered that a good horn has as much to do with a good average as good horse power and rapid acceleration. That is to say, a car having a good road-clearing horn can complete a journey in as good time as a car having 10% more h.p. which has only an ordinary horn. Record your remarks, and then forward them to the Technical Committee This sheet must be filed with the correspondence to which it refers. | ||
