DASHBOARD PUMP.

We thank you for your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gy2/LG19.2.29.

We note that the use of a spring enables the valve to be opened .125. Would you please allow for this opening on the two schemes shown on figs. 2 and 3. (whichever you decide to use.)

It is possible however that the sleeve stop shown on the fig.2. scheme is not really necessary, and that your suggestion of the spring under the nut stopping by shutting choc-a-bloc will be satisfactory for this very light duty job.

As was recently shown on the petrol cock in spite of the low velocity part of the resistance to filling is due to velocity head and a slight increase in the dia. is nearly sure to make a very great difference.
