To B.Y. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X7370 X7420 X.7370 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/LG13.12.27. We understand you are interested in the torque which will have to be transmitted through the EAC.10 servo gears. We estimate that this will be about 160 lbs.ft. on the servo driving shaft and recommend that you specify 170 lbs.ft. to allow for extreme conditions or variations in the leverage and drum diameter which may take place from time to time. In making our calculations we have assumed that the leverages on EAC.10 will be the same as those on EAC.7. as this is the latest design on which we have a complete specification.
