X8430 BX/HED. c.Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY1/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 23.5.27. PHANTOM. Shorter "D" type steering column with seating position moved the same amount as steering column. Will you kindly instruct the Experimental Dept. to produce a chassis seated as per sketch herewith. When the chassis is available, it will have to be submitted to Sales for their consideration. The whole story is that Sales have been telling us for some time that with our "D" type seating scheme the pedals are too far away from the seat. The scheme outlined in the sketch is therefore intended to overcome this defect. It should be produced as quickly as possible, so that Sales can make up their minds as to whether we should change immediately to this proposal. DESCRIPTION OF PART BY.{R.W.
