1033 Experimental Department 28th November 1936. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Ed.{J. L. Edwards}22/AP. The Zenith Carburetter Co.Ltd., Honeypot Lane, Stanmore, MIDDLESEX. Your Ref. TK/CKT Dear Sirs, We are in receipt of yours of the 25th inst. and very much regret the confusion which has arisen. The letter of the 20th inst. was not intended to be sent, as we require the carburetter as soon as possible, and you gave us a four weeks delivery for a right hand instrument. Accordingly, the letter of the 21st. inst. was written, the intention being to cancel the previous communication. However, we now see from yours of the 25th. inst., that you have put a right hand float chamber instrument in hand, and can give us delivery in about a week, and in view of these facts we consider that it would be most convenient to let the original letter of the 20th. inst. stand. Summarising, the order is as under:- One 48.HAZ. (R) carburetter to drg. 05213 with tuning accessories, delivery being promised on the 3rd. or 4th. of December. The same confusion appears to have arisen with our Order Office, so that we should be glad if you would give this letter precedence over the official order which we believe has already been despatched. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
