Re: JACK BARCLAY'S B.V.
-------------------------

Jack Barclay has complained that his B.V. is too softly sprung at the rear end.

We do not recommend the fitting of an extra leaf to his existing springs, neither do we consider that the trouble is likely to be due to the springs. It is much more likely that more damping is required.

We therefore advise that the .055" dia. hole drilled through the bump end of the piston, FB.4890, into the reservoir be soldered up. Alternatively the pistons may be exchanged for Wraith pistons, F.59293. If this alteration is insufficient an .010" washer may be fitted inside the bellows between the bellows and the valve spring.
