Your reference - Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.5/AD. Lucas Battery Ignition. Dear Sirs, We are much obliged by your letter of November 20th giving results of your tests on the Ignition Systems we sent you. We must also apologise for not having sent you a copy of our report on your equipment, but have pleasure in enclosing one of these herewith. Report E.456 gives the results of the general examination we made, and the quantitative tests we carried out. Report E.636 gives results of some duration tests. Both your report on our equipment, and our report on yours obviously call for considerable comment and comparison, if both our firm and yours are to extract the maximum amount of useful information from the comparison. We are not, however, doing this in writing, as the writer of this letter is hoping to see you next week in connection with some correspondence you have had with Messrs.S.Smith and Sons re Electric Clocks, and the occasion should be a suitable one for discussing the whole matter together, which we have no doubt will be a much more satisfactory method of dealing with it than by correspondence. The writer is leaving the appointment with you next week re Electric Clocks with Mr.Nichols of Smiths, but we believe that the appointment will be made for Friday, and will be very Dec 11th | ||
