I am sending you a cylinder block taken off
A.F. Ferguson's Bentley, mileage 8,229.

The cylinder bores are badly worn, are not
true with the base, are oval, and was over-oiling 700
M.P.G. It will be in case No.65.

We have had the bores just touched on the
grinding machine to show ovality, out of truth with base,
etc. It shows clearly the trouble with our present method
of boring and honing.
