To HK.{Col. T. Harker - Sales} Paris. From Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Y832 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG23. 2. 26. SHOCK ABSORBERS. Y832 X1152 HK{Col. T. Harker - Sales}7/MM6. 2. 26. With reference to the shock absorbers of which we have received prints. This shock absorber is of the Houdaille type depending for its resistance to motion upon the viscosity of the oil contained in it. It is in a worse position for oil leakage than either the Houdaille or Berkshire because it has two glands exposed to the full pressure of the liquid. In addition, it is only a single acting shock absorber. We should say that this device would suffer from all the troubles we have experienced with the Berkshire or Houdaille type of shock absorber. At the present time we are developing our own type of hydraulic shock absorber. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
